We humans left it in ruin.
Awoken in fright that mankind was born anew,
I can rest peacefully now because it simply isn't true.

I am incredibly humbled at receiving a Daily Deviation notice for this, I have been lurking around the DA community for a little over a decade now and had never really expected to be awarded such an honour (of course I had hoped, but isn't that the pipe dream for most of us here?). Again though, thank you. Immeasurable gratitude.
